西班牙居民楼爆炸 至少7人死亡

　　1.An explosion has ripped apart a block of flats in Spain, killing at least seven people.The cause was a gas leak, experts have said.

　　西班牙北部城市帕伦西亚一座5层居民楼5月1日早晨发生爆炸，造成至少7人死亡，34人受伤，事故原因已被证明是由瓦斯泄漏引起。

2. Residents described the blast as thunderous. "I heard an explosion and the building started to crack," Maria del Carmen Madrigal, who lived in a building next to the one that was destroyed, told newspaper El Pais.

　　住在旁边楼上的居民玛利亚-马德里加尔在接受当地煤体采访时说：“我听到一声爆炸声，紧接着这座大楼开始倒塌下来。”

3. The pre-dawn blast reduced the five-storey building in the northern city of Palencia to a pile of smoking rubble.

4. Firefighters spent hours dousing the rubble with water to cool it down so they could search for bodies and survivors.

5. At least 34 people were injured in the explosion, rescue teams said.

6. Between 25 and 30 people lived in the building, many of them elderly.

7. Around 200 people were evacuated from nearby buildings that were damaged.
