1、This funerary sculpture, now on view in "African Visions" at the National Museum of African Art, was made in the early- to mid-20th century either by the Sakalava or Bara peoples of Madagascar. "It's not far at all from the striding boys sculpted in ancient Greece," writes Post critic Blake Gopnik.
